My Current Skincare Routine

We all want to talk that all natural talk, but it’s another thing to walk the walk. As someone who used to bounce back and forth between skincare lines, never settling on one thing or another, I’ve finally learned that focusing on ingredients is what will truly show a difference. While I was always told that drying out acne on my problematic skin was the answer, I now know that keeping the skin healthy, hydrated, and free of harsh chemicals is the best solution. With this in mind, these products combined have definitely changed my routine for the better.

The Makeup Eraser Cloth (not pictured): This is my beauty holy grail. My sister gave me my first one after recommending I try it, and I’ll never remove my makeup with anything else again. All you do is soak it in hot water and wipe your face clean. That’s it. No gimmicks, no chemicals, just clean skin. Just be sure to not scrub too hard (you won’t need to) and wash it after each use to get all the makeup out.

Herbivore Lapis Oil: For someone with combination skin that leans toward the oily side, I was skeptical to try an allover oil on my face. I’m so glad I ignored that notion. This is one of the best skincare items I’ve used. It’s made of all-natural ingredients that help to balance the skin and hydrate while reducing redness. I use a small amount every morning and night, focusing on my breakout areas like my cheeks and forehead. It soaks in and doesn’t leave an oily residue, so no need to blot it away.

Kopari Coconut Melt: Another item that I don’t think I can live without. This organic coconut oil is made for all over moisturizing, but I love to use it under my eyes for a brightening effect and on the corners of my mouth where my skin gets the driest. It’s specifically made for body care, so it doesn’t leave a greasy feel like other food-grade coconut oils. I’m hooked.

Herbivore Blue Tansy Resurfacing Mask: Another gem from the Herbivore line, this resurfacing mask works wonders. Per instructions, I used it for 4 days straight and now use it once a week. While it was a little harsh for my sensitive skin at first, I now leave it for only 5 minutes at a time. The results are fresh skin that has been chemically exfoliated with the all natural ingredients, so no harsh scrubbing is necessary to start to get rid of any dark spots.
