While I don’t always follow the norm, sticking to tradition on a day like July 4^th seems only natural. But that doesn’t mean you have to be literal and wear a shirt with an American flag. For the holiday BBQ and firework festivities, I chose an outfit of mostly red and white. The bandana print and cut of these shorts made them a fun and whimsical item to build the outfit around. For a monochrome look, I chose to pair them with a lightweight red cami. To tone down the bright red, my lace-up sandals were the perfect neutral. As a finishing touch, I carried my light wash denim jacket. This piece served the dual purpose of keeping me warm through fireworks and adding a minor hint of blue. Overall, the look was perfect for a day of lounging with the family, eating BBQ, and drinking Moscow mules. That equals one perfect Fourth if you ask me.
