Wearing: TRIPLE THREAD dress | URBAN OUTFITTERS denim shirt
KIMCHI BLUE bralette | VIDAKUSH body chain

As someone who used to lounge strictly in a mens XL tee and scrunchy ankle sweatpants, I’d say that my downtime attire has matured the past few years. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a few of those XL tees… but more often than not I find myself reaching for something equally as comfy yet with an elevated style sense. Case in point, this Triple Thread ribbed dress that is just as cute in the outside world. It is light as air and has a flowy-yet-tailored fit. The deep neck is perfect for showing off lace-y bralettes and delicate jewelry. This oversized denim shirt knotted above my waist helped to cover my shoulders in the air conditioning (why am I always cold?) while it also added some needed shape to the look.

On a side note, Michael and I are in the middle of re-doing some of the furniture and accent pieces in our apartment. One of the first things we did was switch our old, generic wood stools for these vintage, cast iron ones. Just that one change made all the difference in our kitchen area. With this addition, we felt the need to add a few more dark accents around the room. We were able to borrow this antique Japanese tansu, or travelling chest, from Michael’s mom. Not only is it an amazing piece in it’s own right, the iron hardware made it that much more special. To play off of these newly added iron accents, we got this metal ladder as well. Next step: getting two or three colored and textured blankets to hang from it.
