What To Pack To Go Camping

It’s always been a tradition of my family to go camping. Not glamping. Real, actual, outdoor camping. Tent and all. After a long while of having to skip the trips because of work, I was finally able to go again last year. It was amazing to be off the grid. No phone service, just family. Right then, during that trip, I vowed to not let work get in the way of an experience like that. It WILL BE a yearly tradition from now on.

As we’re getting ready to go again this coming week, I thought I would put together a little guide of what clothing you need to pack to be outdoors for days at a time. While I know that most of you literally dread that idea, I hope that some of you will be adventurous enough to take a trip like this. I mean, if Mike can do it, so can all of you. (And, really though, Mike can be a baby. So you got this.)

Disclaimer: Comfort is the name of the game here. Workout and lounge clothes will be your best friends, but you can also mix in denim shorts and tanks to wear around camp. Also, there’s no such thing as cute hiking shoes. Bare with me.

Other than your usual camp gear (tent, tarps, lantern, chairs, blankets, etc…) this guide should have you covered! And just like the name suggests, this is a guide. Don’t feel the need to pack everything I listed. Just pick and choose your favorite pieces, pack according to how many days you’ll be out there and what you plan on doing, and you’ll be good to go. Happy camping!
