With Christmas fast approaching, I decided to start playing around with possible centerpieces. As with anything, I’m always partial to a minimal look as opposed to over-the-top. Elegant is always better than gaudy in my book, especially when it comes to decoration. For this setup, the color scheme of green and gold was luxe and kept with the holiday vibe. The centerpiece is a rich, dark green glass that I filled with evergreen needles and a pinecone for a natural element. I mixed these with gold fabric and a bow to tie in the plate ware. The gold and white of the plates were a great contrast to the ebony stained table. They added a much needed brightness to the setup that enhanced the tones of the gold in the centerpiece. Setting this table woke up my inner hostess; I’m so excited for Christmas!
