The military trend has been everywhere this season – Gucci, Marc Jacobs, and Mulberry, to name a few, referenced the theme in their recent ready-to-wear shows. With this look, I took a decidedly relaxed approach to the structure-driven trend by finding inspiration in the military color palette. This tunic style tank is ultra-laidback, especially half-tucked into rolled denim shorts. Details included my army-inspired combat boots and a pendant necklace for a feminine touch. To finish the look, my new Gräf & Lantz denim and leather clutch played perfectly against the shorts while adding a fresh break from the other dark accessories. Interpreting a trend in a subtle way keeps a look relevant yet always timeless.
