Saying the weather in Orange County has been weird for the first half of summer would be an understatement. It’s been really hot, really humid, and at times, really gloomy. Yesterday was the same, except it began to rain mid afternoon while it stayed a muggy 90 degrees. Needless to say, getting dressed every morning when you never know where the weather is going has been difficult. I’ve been curbing the problem with a go-to uniform of jeans and a tee. This asymmetrical top from Triple Thread is one that I love wearing on the day-to-day. The extra design element takes it up one more notch than a basic tee. I paired it with my favorite pair of black skinnies and Chucks, because that combo can never go wrong. As for accessories, my new Like Dreams crossbody was a perfect addition. The gray and black palette was perfect for the look while the extra large hardware added a cool vibe. I also stole my boyfriend’s black bandana for a quick, extra element to the outfit. I’ve been a huge fan of this vintage-inspired accessory lately and there’s so many ways to wear it. Around the neck is my favorite, but you can also tie it around any bag you’re carrying. This one started around my neck and migrated to my bag after it got a little too hot to handle. In summer months like this, it’s all about staying casual, comfortable, and choosing accessories wisely.
