Honest Beauty Event

I have to say, I’m so proud of how much I’ve cleaned up my personal habits and rituals over the last few years. Maybe it’s the takeover of the (much needed) green movement, or maybe it’s me finally learning to listen to my body and take care of myself, but I’ve grown accustomed to seeking out all things CLEAN in my life. Clean home products, clean eating, and definitely clean beauty. Taking time to find makeup and skincare products with (and without) the ingredients that work for you is the most important thing for your skin’s overall health and appearance. Just like with what you eat, your skin will only give back as much as you give to it. And if you’re using harmful ingredients and chemicals on the surface? That will only creep up and get you in the end.

With that whole mindset and lifestyle change being my new norm, I was SO excited when Honest Beauty invited me to their event last week that showcased their beautiful lines of clean makeup and skincare. While I had heard of the brand many times before, this was my first chance to fully explore the ranges and test out products myself. First impressions? There’s a reason their motto is #CleanBeautyThatWorks.

Let me focus in on the makeup since that’s what I was able to explore the most. The ranges were shade inclusive, the color payouts were pigmented, and the product textures were rich and creamy. There were no off-putting, unnatural fragrances and the packaging was just as clean as the ingredients listed. In short, I loved everything about what I tried. And the best part? The lines are affordable and accessible, so you have actually no excuse to not make the switch to clean beauty.
