Monochromatic

In a post the other day, I talked about how wearing all black was the equivalent to my comfort blanket. It makes me feel like me. And I couldn’t even begin to explain why. Then, when I put this look together a few mornings ago, I got that same feeling of comfort. That’s when it hit me – maybe it’s monochrome that gives me that sense of ease. In the past, I feel that it was taboo to be match-y. But with the comeback of matching sets and modern tailored suits came the revival of the monochrome-head-to-toe look. I, for one, absolutely love it. A unicolor outfit is effortless yet still shows that you took care while getting dressed. It makes me feel put together – and being put together makes me the most comfortable. And being comfortable in your own skin is the key to confidence. It’s a win, win.
