After the much, self-anticipated ceremony and getting pictures with both the parties and my new husband, I went directly to get a drink. Not that I needed a drink — I just needed to enjoy the amazing party we had all put together. While the guests mingled and hor d’oeuvred, my now brother-in-law was busy moving the antique tables into the courtyard where the ceremony had just taken place. That beautiful space became an outdoor café reminiscent of an Italian alleyway. It was PERFECT.
After what seemed like only minutes, we were all shuffled to our seats to begin the buffet-style dinner. Our caterer, K’Syrah Catering, provided exceptional food and service. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this recently, but food and drink was a priority for our wedding. And, man, not to brag but… did we deliver.
Toasts and conversation and laughs were highlighted by heirloom tomato salad, braised chicken, tri-tip, and seasonal vegetables. And that was only some of it. The table-side poured wine flowed as Michael and I sat in our beautiful high-backed chairs and basked in that newly-married feeling. This was a dinner that can never be topped.
