Out of all the major cities I’ve been to in the States, San Francisco is easily on the top of that list. My boyfriend, Michael, took me up there last weekend for a belated birthday getaway. It was our second time staying at Hotel Whitcomb, a beautiful and historic building on Market Street. In the three days we were there, we saw most of my favorite city, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and, most importantly, ate some amazing food. Restaurants we went to included Buena Vista near the wharf, Tadich Grill for their amazing fish, and Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, the best pizza you will ever have. We also ate a light brunch at Blue Bottle Coffee House and had the best burger and shakes at the Burger Bar overlooking Union Square. To thank my man for this amazing weekend, I also got reservations at Bourbon and Branch, a gorgeously decorated, prohibition themed speakeasy not too far from our hotel. We took a boat onto the bay to the Golden Gate and explored the local shops on Union Street. Overall, I fell in love with this city for the millionth time. There’s nothing more perfect than a weekend vacation to the city on the bay.
