For my first trip to Del Mar Racetrack, I felt it was necessary to wear the stereotypical big hat. Since my style doesn’t lean toward the big embellishments, my clean-lined, floppy fedora was my first pick for something dramatic but not over the top. I built my outfit around the hat, and wanted to do something different than the millions of dresses I knew I would see. I opted for my neutral, striped shorts and my ASTR bodysuit that goes with everything high waisted. The cream top added brightness to this look and allowed for dark accessories along with the hat. The balance was perfect within the neutral boundaries of color. Simple gold accessories topped off the look. I was so comfortable all day but felt put together at the same time. I love this look so much; I’ll definitely risk a repeater fine in the future with this one!
