In every aspect of my life, grew up being taught to think and feel and act like a human – not a woman. Nothing was ever “a boy thing” or “a girl thing” in my house. You did what you did because you loved to do it, and that was okay. I’ll forever be thankful for that; that I didn’t have parents that told me I could or could not do anything within reason, so long as I was a good person while doing it. It made me strong and opinionated and not willing to take no for an answer. So, when I hear anyone say that gaming is for boys, not girls, I want to laugh in their face. That’s just blatantly not true.
I always have (and I’m sure always will) know SO many women who game… it’s just not something that’s overly talked about. I, personally, have played video games since I was a little kid and have never stopped. Whether I’m trying to unwind after a daunting week or want to challenge Mike to a tournament with a trophy of no dishes for a month, gaming is something I turn to for a little fun in the middle of a crazy life.
With that being said, I jumped on the chance to work with Xbox when asked. Let me tell you a little about their newest version: the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. It’s a disc-free, more affordable version with all the same graphics and options as the other non-digital model. Download and play games, stream in 4k, and save everything to the cloud – easy as anything.
While this cost efficient version is normally $250, they’re running a limited-time special for an extra $50 off to bring it down to a cool $199! CLICK HERE.
