About 5 days after I cut bangs last fall, I decided I wanted to cut my hair short. The problem? I wanted short hair without bangs. I know, I know. Forever indecisive.
So… I waited. I enjoyed my hair while it was long, styled my bangs daily, and let them grow out. And then I had to sit through that terribly awkward middle phase where your bangs feel like a thick, gross face frame. Trust me – if you know, you know. If you don’t, don’t cut bangs anytime soon.
Well, last week, I FINALLY felt that my bangs were at a good length. While I originally wanted to wait until my hair was all one length, I was so sick of dealing with that in between phase that I just went for it. And, oh my god, am I so happy I did.
I’m prettty sure I was meant to have short hair. Don’t hold me to that if I decide to grow it out in the future… but I am absolutely loving it right now. It’s so light and easy and requires less than minimal styling for my almost-straight natural hair. If you’re thinking about getting a lob this summer, just go for it. It’s hair, it will grow back, and I’m pretty sure you’re going to love it anyway.
