What We’re Packing for Europe

When Michael and I first learned of our upcoming trip to Europe, we were obviously excited. Excited, and also anxious about being properly prepared. Blame it on our neurotic tendencies, but making sure we have everything we need while on a trip so far from home is seriously important to us. Not only did we immediately start brainstorming what clothes and things we would need to pack, we also had to solve the problem of what to pack everything in. Yes, we have simple suitcases to hold clothes and shoes, but what about carry-on sized bags? Since this is a trip with my family, we will be limited on space and needed to figure out a way to maximize that limited space. And this is where we became extremely grateful to Dagne Dover for sending a few of their pieces our way.

In total, we received the Landon Carryall in Small and Large, the Dakota Backpack, and the Hunter Toiletry Bag in Large. While Michael opted for always-classic black, I couldn’t pass up the Dark Moss. Not only do these versatile bags from their 365 Collection come in various colors and sizes, each one is equipped with separate, smaller pouches and countless interior pockets and straps for superior organization. They’re also made of neoprene for seriously easy care. Done and done.

As for what we’ve decided to pack IN these bags? Think: simple, easy, and travel-sized. I’m going minimal with my beauty routine, packing only a couple of my go-to makeup products, a Malin + Goetz travel pack that we plan to share, and some travel-sized Diptyque perfumes. Clothing will be equally as pared down – button ups, a few trousers, a pair of denim, some sneakers, and my Birkenstocks. Throw in a couple pieces of gold jewelry, my belts, and my berets? I’m all set. Browse through some of the similar items below for a better idea of what I’m taking!
